When I was a teenager my cousins and I went out to Bourbon Street for a "night on the town". At about 1 AM in some touristy T shirt shop we I spotted Redd Foxx walking around the store. I went up to him and said that I watched Sanford and Son reruns everyday after school (which was true! haha) My cousin and I asked for his autograph and we asked if he could sign a dollar bill since we didn't have anything else with us. He said "I love money too much I can't sign that". We ended up getting him to sign the back of a gas receipt that my cousin had in his pocket....anyway I've always loved this song "The Street Beater" and actually recorded a version years before I did Hwy 90.
