I only see 7 episodes in the 5150 bundle list (2 Vai, 1 Gilbert, 2 Saraceno, 2 Bettencourt) is that correct or are there more I should be seeing? Also - what needs to be done re: the subscription to PremierGuitar? Something I need to do? Is it supposed to be delivered via mail or is it electronic? Also not seeing any of the album reviews or the line6 presets. I'm logged in, but not sure how to navigate to these other items, please help. Thanks!
Welcome! Thanks for jumping into the podcast. I’m happy to help answer your questions. The episodes are all still in production. The next one to be released will be the Billy Corgan episode, a follow up Fair Warning conversation.
Premiiere guitar will be in touch with you via email about your subscription options shortly.
The episode on reverse engineering the EVH sound has not been recorded yet. The presets will be made at that time. I plan to film that episode as well.
Also, coming soon we will begin scheduling a few live listening parties.
Hope this info helps! Enjoy the podcast! Be well , DZ
I bought the All-Inclusive 5150 Bundle and it has been more than worth every penny! I'm absolutely loving every second of it and I can't wait for the Billy Corgan episode. Billy was the person that turned me on to VH when I was a kid in the mid 90s.
I'm really hoping for a good in depth episode of VH3 because it is time for VH fans to really reexamine it. To me, that is the ultimate EVH album. But that's just me.
Thank you again Dweezil! All these episodes are brilliant, but listening to you and Nuno takes it to another level! It's the same level of sheer passion and excitement in a conversation that I would expect if life on another planet was discovered by two astro leading physicists lol. Amazing brother, thank you. Such a thoughtful, intelligent and eloquent discussion! (and by the way.. I have ALWAYS thought that the "So This Is Love" solo, was actually like a jazz trumpet solo played on guitar, and I thought I was the only person to hear it that way, so it was most interesting to hear you and Nuno talk about the "saxophone-like" phrasing... amazing). Best, S
Amazing episode. You guys had me in tears more than once with your words on his playing. And I definitely agree about “the note” in Push Comes to Shove. Nice to know others feel the same!
Another masterpiece. That Godzilla thing was epic. It's funny how people hear things. We all have these computers(brain) that are tuned to the universe in a unique way. The experiences that you have had with Ed and even these guys like Nuno are really something man. You have had a most interesting and blessed life. So my number two guy besides Ed for overall guitar and song composition is Billy Corgan....These two bands literally changed my life. Ed was in a different universe and made me pick up the instrument. Billy made me want to quit playing because the Pumpkins sounded like the band I wanted to be so why try anymore? Lol. Looking forward that one. Peace!
I think Billy would like your comment! Glad you enjoyed the episode. Funny how Godzilla became part of Fair Warning. I was really surprised by how close the first note actually was to the sound of Godzilla, with pitch bend and overtones. Weird, right?
Learning a lot from Runnin' With The Dweezil! Definitely taking a note on "saturated distortion/gain". Never thought of this before but it totally makes sense. Thanks Dweezil!
Hi there. Loving the podcast so far - keep up the good work! I'm just wondering - as an all-inclusive bundle member - how do I redeem the 1-year Premier Guitar subscription? Thanks!
I noticed a few other weird things about the file missing some sound effects too. I re-exported the file and have uploaded it to the site. The corrections should be sorted now! Sorry for the confusion. Best, DZ
I did too. Seemed like a whole 10min or so section repeated then moved on.

Just plain amazing interviews, comments and insights. Makes it fun to go back and listen to this music again......
The pinch harmonics on Fair Warning still give me goose bumps, simply amazing. Thanks Dweezil, Episode 7 was great!

"Unchained"

Godzilla!
Thank you for the EVH WTHWIT sneak peek!
Awesome work Dweezil ... sounds amazing. Nuno .. you’re my living hero now ... keep up the great work.

The Allman Brothers in a paper bag, hahah now that is some heady jam band culture right there! Love it lol

"Unchained" on MIDI piano...Fantastic alternate universe
Worth the wait... Hearing two very accomplished musicians go on about my favorite album of all time is a bucket list item... Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind words.
I'm looking into it.
I am hearing parts repeated in episode 7, specifically the discussion about "So this is love" Anyone else getting this ?
Loved the episode, especially that they share my love for the solo in "Push comes to Shove" Eddie at the top of his game musically

This episode 7 is excellent. Great insight. On an unrelated note, has Nuno said when that new Extreme album will finally come out???!
